Campground is open for use from April 1st thru November 1st
Registration & Payments:
All campers must register with campground management or at bar.
All fees are to be paid at the time of registration. There will be a $25 fee on returned checks.
FEE Schedule: Gravel sites with/without electric $10/night, grass site camping with electric $7/night (only permissible if gravel sites are full or if occupied by a guest with sponsoring member on adjacent site), primitive camping without electric $5/night.
If an authorized representative of the club is not present to collect your fee, YOU ARE ON THE HONOR SYSTEM. Please drop off your payment at the bar with your name and campsite number.
Anyone not current on payments will not be allowed to camp. Anyone severely delinquent may have their membership revoked.
Abandoned campers & tents will become property of the Manteno Sportsman’s Club to remove at its discretion.
Camping is on a first come/ first serve basis. THERE WILL BE NO RESERVATIONS.
Camping is allowed in designated areas only.
Unless prior arrangements are made with campground management, there will be a four
(4) day limit on unattended campsites, two (2) week limit on one site.
Guest Camping: $3 per guest
Members may have guests on their site, in accordance with the current club guest policy. Guests must adhere to all campground/club rules and must register with campground management. Guests may camp one (1) time per year on an individual site with the sponsoring member present on the adjacent site, on non-holiday weekdays/weekends only. If the campground has reached capacity guests must forfeit their site to a member, if necessary.
Children & Dependent Campers:
No campers under 18 years of age may camp without an adult member’s supervision. Curfew for children under 18 is 11 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10 pm on weeknights, in accordance with Village of Manteno Ordinance. After 10 pm, all children must be under adult supervision at all times.
The primary member must sign in dependent campers over 18 who plan to camp without the primary member present. The primary member will be held responsible and accountable for any incidents or damage.
Possession or consumption of alcohol by minors will be cause for immediate termination of the registered family’s membership privileges.
Campers must ensure their campsite is kept clean and will be responsible for trash disposal at their campsite. Dumpsters are available on the grounds for campers to use.
Campfires are allowed in provided fire-rings ONLY. Fire-rings are not to be moved.
There will be no burning of bottles, cans, any garbage or boards with nails allowed.
DO NOT DISPOSE OF THESE ITEMS IN FIRE-RINGS. One fire-ring per campsite.
Quiet hours are 11 pm until 7 am and will be enforced.
All pets must be kept on a leash and under the owners control at all times. Pet waste must be cleaned up immediately.
The Manteno Sportsmen's Club is not responsible for any personal belongings left unattended in the campground. No vehicles, tents, or belongings may be left unattended overnight without permission of campground management. All unattended campsites must be cleared two (2) days prior to a holiday weekend. Violating campsites will be cleared at owner's expense and at the discretion of the Manteno Sportsmen's Club.
Any unlawful acts must be reported to campground management immediately.
There will be no disposal of wastewater on the club grounds, except at the provided dumping facility.
The discharge of air rifles will only be allowed at the designated archery range. Children
must be supervised by responsible adult.
Use of motorized vehicles in campground:
THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 5 MPH MUST BE FOLLOWED BY ALL VEHICLES!
During daylight hours, the use of recreational vehicles (mopeds, 4 wheelers, golf carts)
by children under 16 years of age must be supervised by a responsible adult. Use after
sunset is limited to licensed drivers 16 years and older.
DURING HOLIDAY WEEKENDS, THE USE OF NON-STREET LEGAL VEHICLES IS
All club rules not specifically listed above will be strictly enforced. Violation of the above rules may result in the suspension of camping privileges. Repeat violations may result in termination of membership.
RECEIPT OF THESE RULES SERVE AS AN AGREEMENT TO ABIDE BY CLUB POLICY FOR ANY VIOLATIONS.
